My new winter project. Fork and shock swaps, slap some dunlop Q3s, new brake pads and fluid, then boom! Track Bike!

You’ll want to raise the rear about 20-25mm from stock and get some higher rear sets. Another thing to watch for is lean angle clearance with the exhaust on the right side of the bike.
I tracked a M695 for a while and I was always rubbing exhaust before I got my knee down.
I mention raising the bike to get some clearance and also to get a little extra weight over the front end.

In a few years yeah, but its Waaaay too nice to track in its current condition. Plus I’d rather hone my skills on something with less power.

High mount pipes and rear sets are also on the list for eventual upgrades. I may look into something like a 749/999/1098 shock for the back as I think they are a bit longer than the monster/ST/748/996 family shocks.
Edit: I have already swapped my bike to clip-ons which should also help get a bit more weight over the front end.
